The Applicant
I am the official legally responsible for this production or activity.
Application Coordinator
I am coordinating the collection of information for this application ahead of the Applicant's review and submission.
Which option should I choose?
To comply with UK law, we need to distinguish between the person legally responsible for the production and the person filling out the paperwork.
The Applicant
Who: The Producer, or the person or entity that is actually employing or engaging the child.
Why: You are the "Named Applicant." You (or your company) will be legally accountable for the child's safety, welfare, and working hours.
On the Licence: Your name or company name will appear as the official licence holder.
Application Coordinator
Who: You are a production employee, freelancer, talent agent, or administrator coordinating the collection of information for this application.
Why: You are facilitating the application process.
On the Licence: If you are filling in any of the application on behalf of the person responsible for the production or activity (the Applicant), they and the person with Parental Responsibility must personally review and sign the fully completed application. By law, all data provided must be accurate; providing false information is an offense under the Children and Young Persons Act 1963.
